Twenty-five Penn labs participated in the 2025 Annual Freezer Challenge, an international competition that focuses on sustainable actions taken in cold storage management. Wrapping up on July 1, it marks Penn's most successful year of participation. Penn landed in 18th place out of 112 academic organizations and 292 overall organizations across 29 countries, saving over 372.5 kWh/day!
