Marking its sixth year in 2025, Climate Week at Penn has conveyed urgency and a spirit of innovation, locally and globally, with an emphasis on the intersections of race, equity, and the environment. EII is proud to lead the planning and organizational committee efforts for this week of impactful events with hosts from across Penn’s campus and the community. Climate Week 2025 will be celebrated October 13-17, 2025.

Theme

This year’s theme is Hot Spots, intended to address both literal (wildfires and extreme heat) and figurative (political, cultural, interpersonal, or scholarly) hot topics in climate change.

Get Involved

Visit the Climate Week at Penn website to learn more about events and how Penn students, staff, and faculty can get involved. New website features include: a section for sharing news items, an “add to calendar” widget, a more intuitive navigation, more prominent display of our sponsors and organizers, and an integrated event calendar that allows you to directly submit your event details for publication. To add your event information to the website, use the red Add an Event button located on the home page (scroll down slightly to find it).

Event Guide

We’ve created a Climate Week event guide with information you may find helpful in your planning and promotion. This includes tips for before the event (on scheduling, finding space, and organizing speakers), during the event, and follow-up.
