Course Inventory
With the aim of ensuring that every student at Penn has the opportunity to graduate with an understanding of environmental ethics, the Initiative conducts regular reviews to identify courses related to climate, environmental justice, resilience, nature, and other key themes. Once these lists have been verified with the different academic units, they are integrated into a list intended to help students find environment-related courses.
- Some courses may be infrequent. Please consult the course catalog to find the latest information and Path@Penn to confirm that the course is currently being offered.
- Please email suggestions to contact@environment.upenn.edu.
Faculty Database
In support of the Initiative’s commitments to foster collaboration across disciplines and lead inclusive and dynamic programming we have created database that allows members of the Penn community to search for faculty members by expertise. The database uses the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a classification system, as this framework offers specific and detailed definitions of global priorities. This database reflects the teaching and research of faculty members in all 12 schools, so in addition to offering pathways for collaboration it offers insights into Penn’s strengths relative to global sustainability priorities.
