EII's Action CAFÉ workshops encourage faculty to come together to share ideas and actively problem solve on a particular topic. Designed to convene, accelerate, foster, and expand, these CAFEs bring together experts who many not typically collaborate to work together towards a common goal. The results of these workshops are made available on this website as reference materials.

Penn experts are studying the impacts of extreme heat and developing strategies to mitigate its effects, especially for communities near Philadelphia. EII convened on November 26, 2024 a meeting to foster interconnections and identify shared interests, aiming to promote potential collaborations and transdisciplinary grant proposals focused on extreme heat.

EII hosted a workshop to help researchers navigate the process of developing collaborative grant proposals for climate change research on June 12, 2024. Open to all Penn students, postdocs, and faculty, participants learned from experts with experience in securing collaborative funding.
